  1. How does the pay box at WE work? I was out there and the gate was closed. Never been out there and didnt want to trespass... Also, how do you access those shoals at TB? Thanks!
  2. Oh no worries. I thought you meant you fished the WE stretch. Advice on what trails/ways to get to shoals at TB?
  3. Of course. Do you think that the War Eagle spot will be more wadeable with high water? Not sure what its like out there right now, Im sure things have changed a bit, cause that was a ridiculous amount of water in that area over Christmas. Can you just park along the road out there by 50 cent hole and hike into the shoals? Thanks!
  4. Awesome. I am excited to try my hand at the white bass this season. Looks like ill be giving 50 cent hole and Richland Creek, trying to get places I can wade. I will battle the crowds, no big deal. Just fun to be out and getting some experience. I get nervous trying new places with the fly rod, just cause I like to know where to wade, but you all have been very helpful. Appreciate it, keep it coming.
  5. Nice. What are the access points at War Eagle?
  6. Hey man. Id be interestd in some of the patterns/colors of flies you use for white bass and walleye.

Always looking to tie some new flies.

    Thanks!

  7. Awesome! This is some really solid advice. Thank you all. I may try to get my hands on a 6-7 at if I can. Probably be good to have a little backbone for the fighting of the fish. Will get to the vise soon with some clousers. I've never heard of the run going to the tail waters. That's interesting! Im sure the water is high most everywhere now. Hoping for a somewhat dry spring. Water temps will be getting up there soon. Looking forward to this new pursuit this year. Keep any advice about tackle, fkies , leaders, line, etc coming.
  8. Where are you from lance b? this may help with good white bass access in your area. I am assuming twin bridges is in the Stockton area?

  9. Hey guys... Im targeting some answers from fly fishers, but any advice is welcome. I have searched the past articles about this and got good info, hopefully to gain some more insight here. I am wanting to fish the white bass this spring, mainly around the Richland Creek / Twin Bridges area. Is the area wadeable? What are the best access points, as I have no boat, but am willing to hike in to some places. Also, what type of gear will I need. I see a lot of longer rods, and swithc/spey guys. I currently have a 5wt setup with floating line. Can I use sink tip leaders or will I need sinking line? Assuming clousers are the main weapon of choice as well. Any other flies? Thanks in advance!
  10. Yep. I should've gone 6 or 7x. I always feel like 5 is good enough, but that very well may be my problem. Will hit it again this weekend and let y'all know. Thanks for the help!
  11. Solid. Fished about that same area this morning with no luck. I wonder if I just suck at fishing, or if the night bite is that much better. Keep us updated on how you do.
  12. This is true haha. Not sure I can get up the nerve to get out there at night. Whats the trick to it, headlamps? Just not familiar enough with the terrain after this summer, so dont wanna take too many chances.
  13. Lovely. I cant catch a break to get some decent fishing in lately haha. I pretty much trashed the whole summer, and now Im itching to get out there. Its been so long, I forgot about calling the hotline, got out there Sunday afternoon and the river was roaring by cause they were generating. I felt like a dummy
  14. Where is the water most shallow? Looking to go wading in the morning and dont want to get into deep water. Im thinking Ill start near the dam (usually go to parkers), whats the best access area? Thanks!
  15. Haha, all good. I was just hoping for a little insight. I dont have a boat or kayak, and was curious what type of fly fishing could be done at Lake Fayetteville.
