fishbait3 Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 Do u think the lake will be busy with the Bowfishing that is going on this weeekend.
Members Big Mike Posted June 11, 2015 Members Posted June 11, 2015 If I was bowfishing the tourney I would be at stockton. There are some giant carp. Saw one bow fishing boat Friday night. First one I've ever seen on stockton
slab slinger Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Made that mistake on my first nourishing turney. Brought in a limit of gar and took last place. Everyone else had limits of fat carp and blew me away on weight. Lake won't be that busy unless your night fishing. Most bowfishing tourneys are at night when the fish arnt as spooked in shallow water. oldasdirt 1
slab slinger Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Haha ment bowfishing tourney not nourishing tourney.
Sac River Jim Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 they was out in full force in the mouth of kings river on table rock last night. 4 boats of them thinking they owned the lake. they were cutting bass fishermen off, running banks right at other fishermen then skirting around them and spooking everything on the banks let alone blinding everyone they got close too. its not the first time this has happened and theres gonna be trouble if it continues. it happened to me and a few others guys fishing a little tournament out of ruark bluff last fall. a bow fisherman set up his lights while waiting for us to get off the water. he had his lights facing the ramp and he blinded both the drivers trying to back in and the boaters trying to get on the trailer. It's total lack of respect by some of them giving the rest a bad name.

Last summer I was fishing Maze creek and they motored right up to me with lights blinding me. Encountered some bow fishermen at Big Hill in Kansas a couple of years ago that were all too proud to display the pictures of a couple of flatheads. I'm afraid the temptation is just too great to keep everything legal. Sac River Jim 1
dprice Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Sorry to here this. That lighting system is impressive. But for a old guy like me. It's like looking at a UFO And blinds me so bad I have sensations of lost balance ! With this and arrows flying around me. I kinda of snapped. And informed. This party. I n a round about way I would board that vessel with a knife in my teeth like a pirate. They very kindly respected me. I happen to know. They are considerate people. And are having good time and caught up in moment Sac River Jim 1 Dprice priceheatingair.com
Ketchup Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Hey Jim, could it have been the guys with his lights facing the ramp, maybe thought he was helping others by lighting up the area, which would be easier to load? Just trying to look for the positive in his action. Sac River Jim 1 TinBoats BassClub. An aluminum only bass club. If interested in info send me a PM.
