When will people learn ?

Another tragedy as a Woman goes over the Caplinger dam. It has been discussed the past from this location and others. Mrs. BilletHead and I have seen this first hand when we pulled an expired guy out of this place. Reading this brings back memories when it happened. Water is powerful and needs to be respected. My heart goes out to the family.

Very lucky it wasn't a multiple drowning. Somewhere there is a video of a rescue attempt gone horribly wrong, two rescue boats lost during a rescue attempt, all on film. Lowhead dams are not called drowning machines for nothing. Thoughts and prayers certainly go out to the family and EMS personnel who works situations such as this.

i worked a similiar situation on that dam a few years back. It was 2 guys that went over in an older glass boat which broke in half after it went over. With the ramp so close to the dam, and with water flowing as swift as it does at times, makes that a bad area for boat motor issues. Being on a tube with water moving in that area isnt the smartest idea.
