Best time to fish a tournament is when the fishing is really tough. Puts everyone on an even playing field. I fished a maw and pa tournament on Stockton the last time the lake was this high. 7am to 2pm. I had exactly 3 bites all day.Caught a 12 inch Kenn and at 12:30 I caught a 5.75lb largemouth. Took my wife three passes to net the fish and I am glad she finally did. We won the whole tournament with that fish. With the big bass money I think we took home 400 dollars. I like tournaments when the fishing is tough. Then I have a chance. :)

I agree. It really shows who can fish and who should have just stayed at home. Anybody can do good when the fish are biting.

Aw come on out and have some fun. It's like PHunter was saying it puts everyone more on an even playing field. We had our last regular club tournament June 20 and it rained all week that week. I think we only had 6 boats and 3 fish for just a little under 6lbs ended up winning and 2nd was just little less than that. BB was rite at 2 1/2lbs. So really anybody had a chance. So really come on out it'll b better than sitting at home wishing you were fishing
