Reel is Great...I love it!!!

I have the choice of putting it on a 5wt.. or the 7wt.. I like the way it cast on the 7wt.. the 5wt is a little hard.. but I'll be getting a 6wt rod before summer ends (my B-day) ;)

Yes the little guy loves to fish.. loves to wet wade.. and loves to release the fish.. He gets mad at me for put them back in the water before he can.. But I just tell him that he has to be a little quicker getting them back in the water...

Short story..

we were out one afternoon..

and caught a little bow about 14in long (it was one of those that has the half of a black head)... a few days later we went out again.. and caught one about 19in.. with a black head a ways down stream.. and with a few guys around he says...

"Daddy we caught the fish already.. But his bigger now!!" those guys just started laughing... I LOVE IT!!

Outfish and out cast me, Leonard. Not sure of his tying abilities, but I'm willing to bet he has the upper hand there also...

Any truth to the rumor floating around St. Louis fly shops that Norfork Tailwaters is going to fly & Lures only in 2008?

The Missouri Department of conservation gives out Secret Bait (Dough Bait) at the kids free fishing event at Montauk. I heard it was the #1 selling bait there, and the store at Maramec is adding it this year. Weavers at Bennett has bait there also. I have not heard anything about the banding of bait in Missouri. This would not only hurt the kids a lot of grown-ups would not be happy. Burkley and Mikes baits will be hurting in the trout areas if this is true.

Snow fly.

The AGFC are at this time discussing with organisations here possible changes for both the White and Norfork. There have been many suggestions put forward.

There is at this time no decisions made as to what they will do.

I would be surprised to see that for the entire Norfork river to be honest.

The two docks at the dam zone would object to that one big time, as largely the customer base there would fish with bait.

And many others do also at the dam zone.

As you may know the C and R zone prohibits that.

Also here the Norfork river is where the kids derby day is held, and bait is used at that time

I will let you know as soon as l do what may take place here in AR.

Thanks for the information. A group (8) of us go to Norfork river every year in March/April for 5 days. I'm the only fly-fisherman in the group, all the others are bait fishermen. :o Yes! they pick on me, but also allow me in the boat when running water. :P I KNOW we stay at one of the docks you are talking about, and YES it would be greatly affected.

I understand both sides of the issue! If they don't solve the run off from Overlook Estates they might have to start stocking MUD CATS

I am double checking what information I have. I read it in something I got when I picked up my fishing license, and one of the other people I know who uses them mentioned it, too. I will let you know when I figure out where we heard it! :D

I can bring home the trout...fry it up in a pan...and never let you forget I caught it! 'Cause I'm a woman!
