Sure, I love hearing a trip report from a friend in a private conversation. I don't do trip reports on creeks and rivers anymore with the exceptions of the White and the Buffalo, but are big rivers that already are heavily utilized. I won't name a creek or river in a trip report other than those.

If a shuttle provider needs my trip reports to feed his family, he really needs to look into a different line of work.

I don't fish the Kings river anymore because of the decline in the quality of the fishery and the overall experience due to in my opinion to excessive pressure. I don't expect things to improve anytime soon. More and more people are buying yaks and floating. I just prefer the way it was 10 years ago.

The James River is another River that while still productive is a shadow of its former self. Largely due to increased pressure.

Yep, I first fished the Kings almost 30 years ago and thought I'd found heaven. I still go once in a while and it's still a beautiful stream, but the fishing has steadily declined as the population of NWA has risen. I'd give anything to see some tighter regulations (and enforcement of those regs) on that river.

So, are you saying the population increase has negatively impacted the fishing?

Whew,I totally agree, but was almost sure it was because somebody posted a trip report on the internet somewhere. Especially a report that identified an already popular spot on a river. The balls of some people these days to do such a thing.

Yeah - I don't think Rockhouse to Trigger Gap is any kind of secret, especially not the well kept kind. Everyone I talk to that knows anything about float fishing has done that section at least once. Most people I know exclude that stretch from their list of possibilities due to how busy it can be. There are much better sections for fishing up and down stream, but then we won't talk about that..
