Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted February 8, 2007 Root Admin Posted February 8, 2007 I thought it was a respectful show of people... at least compared to previous meetings. We had about 25 there. Dan and his wife, Steve Smith, Leonard and DD. Mike Kruse did his presentation on their plan for Missouri's trout program. It was interesting. I'm going to try to get the outline and post it on OA. After Mike was done, Phil Surratt, the president of the chapter, talked to the group about where the chapter was going to go from here. Long story short is they elected a president (sorry but I didn't know him and didn't get a name but he's from Forsyth), a vice pres which is our very own Duckydoty and Carolyn from River Run was picked as Sec/Treasurer. There were about 10 who stayed afterward and expressed interest in being on the board, myself, Dan and Leonard were present. We're meeting in 2 weeks to discuss a plan of action.

Danoinark Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 I sure enjoyed the program and look forward to working with all the leadership and members to enhance conservation and improvement to our great rivers and streams of the Ozarks. This is going to be a great opportunity for anyone to get involved. Dano Glass Has Class "from the laid back lane in the Arkansas Ozarks"
troutchaser Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 I really want to be involved in the chapter, but Wednesday nights are already full. Any suggestions? Paul Rone
Gavin Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 Send $....LOL...It depends on what the club's board has in mind, but there will probably be lots of ways to get involved. Our club in St. Louis does a lot of different stuff; monthly meetings with guest speakers, fly fishing, fly tying, and casting classes, club outings, newsletter, maintaining the website, conservation activities, etc. None of it is possible without the help of a lot of volunteers. Contact some of the board members, I'm sure they will put you to work. Cheers.
