Im sick. I've got a fever, and the only prescription is catching more trout!!!

I'm  a smallmouth guy, hence the screen name.  And in years past when I did trout fish it was just to get 4 good "eaters" from Maramec/Bennett/Montauk or stockers at Busch and I admit I've been a bait baller 98% of the time.

Well this yr I decided to put down the powerbait and start throwing/drifting flys/jigs on UL spinning set-ups and i'm now hooked!

My question is if you were going to fish for trout this weekend would one of the trout parks be better than Taneycomo due to all the generation?

Or would Taney still be better?

Maybe below Beaver Dam?

Taney is where I would prefer to be, for obvious reasons and I have a 17 ft Rogue boat/50 Merc, a canoe, or a kayak to choose from.

But the extra flow from generation has me worried that somewhere else would be better?

TY in advance for any advice!

lots of algae and small fish.. this afternoon. Scotty's Dock said very slow.. We drifted for about 2 hours from Cons Access to Scotty's and caught 4 dinks, a 13-14" RB and a 15" brown. All on nite crawlers. Threw cranks for an hour above Lilleys and caught one brown about 12".

Yeah we did pretty good. Didn't get on the water Saturday till 10. Did well with olive/black micro jigs, bead head nymphs, and woollies. Caught limit then headed back to my farm in Licking. Fished the trophy section on Sunday. They were hitting everything early, then egg patterns later in the day.
