was jsut curious about input in to catching fish in the river outside of the park not necessarily fishing for trout but anything that might bite. If no luck or ideas then i will buy a tag and fish the zone 1 area

There are lots of goggle-eye above Bennett, and they are suckers for a 1/8oz. 4" pumpkin colored worm.   Look for wood cover in the slow deeper pools.   They taste better than the Z1 trout do.

If you go below Trout water on the river you can just about catch anything. I've caught Bass, Crappie, Catfish and Suckers.

You can go above Bennett Spring catch Goggle Eye and Small Mouth but Small Mouth have to be 12 inches.

Seen some Guys one time Catfishing all they was catching was Trout. Not one had a Trout Permit.

Here is a Goggle Eye caught just above Bennett Spring.

Did find it interesting that some of the Old Circle J was up for sale, guess the guy decided he wasnt as interested in all the property.

Didn't know that on down the hill use to belong to Circle J.

Looks like good weather for you, we live about 3 miles from the entrance. Just got back home from Truman Lake.
