mic Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 I tried out some casting bubbles today with a Beetle Fly on a local pond. My set up was line to a swivel, line through the bubble to another swivel, and four feet of leader to a beetle. I wasn't expecting much with the recent cold front. But in an hour I caught a nice large mouth, a second smaller one, five warmouth, and this nice gill. I think I'll try again someday.
mic Posted September 14, 2015 Author Posted September 14, 2015 Locks it in place. That keeps it from crowding the fly and/or pulling it under the water from the weight of the swivel.
