Walleyedmike Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Made a quick trip to Stockton this weekend. Spent around nine hours fishing and put nine walleye in the boat with two keepers. All were released. Spent time 50/50 bouncing spinners/slow death and trolling cranks on lead. Each presentation was pretty much equal. Fish caught on points in 17-20' of water. Watched for lmt out's boat so I could folllow him around, but never saw him! LOL! Couldn't have asked for better weather, wish I could have stayed a few days longer. WM
dan hufferd Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 I know I have been looking for that guy too. I fished Saturday and had about the same luck, along with a bunch of other fish including a 10lb carp I caught 7 walleye with the largest 17.5 inches, all went back in the lake.
LoweSTX175 Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 I think the shad numbers are way up this fall. It seemed like all of last week I was trolling over large balls of shad. I'd see fish hanging out underneath them on the downscan. I'd change out cranks and go underneatch the bait but still couldn't get them to bite. Hopefully the cooler temps coming up will get some of the shad to slow down a bit. Either way those fish will be fat next spring.
lmt out Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Thanks for the report. Ha Ha wont find me on a Saturday and Sunday unless you come to work. lol We haven't done as well the last couple weeks but I will be on the lake tomorrow. Walleyedmike 1
