trythisonemv Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Capps always produces in the late fall and early winter for me. Has anyone ever caught much in the late summer early fall? I will be that way next week sometime so I may just try it out and see. Ill post if I find any fish. Last trip this spring brought the only brown ive ever caught down there. It was stocker sized at about nine inches.
jtram Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Capps is a fish-less wasteland.....no seriously should be getting a stocking soon (maybe). I just built a 6ft 4wt specifically for capps ill be there next cool front we have
ollie Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Jtram is almost correct. It is a tough fishery unless they stock and then you can catch them all day long. Well, assuming they haven't all been caught out yet! "you can always beat the keeper, but you can never beat the post" There are only three things in life that are certain : death, taxes, and the wind blowing at Capps Creek!
