dan hufferd Posted October 8, 2015 Author Posted October 8, 2015 That is the nice thing about this site we are all thinking about new things. We can try them all and then get together here and talk about what works. I say let's try all of them. I am going to try one of those $8 flat raps behind a bouncer and see what happens. I did catch a 16" on a berkley twichtail and a 1/4 jig slow drifting in 18 FOW. I will be there this weekend hopefully.
LoweSTX175 Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 One bait that I have tried that I would NOT recommend is the Live Target BaitBall. I decided to buy a couple to give them a try at $15 per. Of course I trolled them. To this day that bait has logged about 3 hours in the water. I have yet to have anything touch that bait. Not even a drum! I'm still sold on Flicker Shad and Shad Rap. Two weeks ago I was getting hits when the cranks were literally bouncing off the bottom. Only problem is I lost several of them in the process. I'll be on the water on Sunday. I'm probably going to stick with the Mutton Creek/Ruark area and post a report Sunday or Monday.
fishbait3 Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Lmt out I just cant believe the Numbers you are catching because its hard for me to believe it can be done. I know others/guides that will even say those numbers are hard to accomplish. I will say myself i catch more shorts than i do keeper but for me thats just the fun of fishing.
lmt out Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 I don't know how to respond fishbait3. I have been doing exactly what I say I have. I don't take time to take many pics. And I would give you guys the gps coordinates of where I am doing it and exactly how. But not to be rude or anything but I give a lot of info on here but I stop short of telling everyone exactly what I am doing and how I am doing it. We have been very fortunate this year to have a lot of numbers. Our keeper numbers r way down I only have 75 keepers for the year. But like you said I like to catch walleye doesn't matter to me if they r keepers or not it is all fun. As for others/guides that say those numbers r hard to accomplish, I agree they r. There other guys on here that catch a lot of walleye and have posted they have caught more that I have. If your post was just that u were amazed that we have done as well as we have then please disregard my previous statements. lmao
Kramr Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 lmt out, Don't be surprised if there is a blue Basscat tailing you next week.

I know I have, more than once.
