I hope there are no big tournaments out of PC this Saturday morning if so let me know so I can launch out of Rocky Branch. High Saturday looks to be in low 60s with 7am around 45 degrees.. A couple of cold nights and seasonable temps during the day and that fall bite should be triggered. I will be looking for those early morning top water stipers but I am betting the bass respond well to the cooler temps this weekend and dropping water.

If there is a tournament should be some really good weights. Just as soon as I make plans, work will probably call and send me to west Texas or New Mexico.....but if I am here I will be on the lake early Saturday morning, with a heavy jacket and top water ready.

Sounds like a plan Stump. Had my buds from up north this past weekend and my hopes of some stripers crashed badly. Trolling PC on Sunday put enough eaters in the boat for a fry so Beaver's reputation is intact. My records from last year say PC should fill up with 3# whites this week. I hope they have the same calendar. Good luck!

I agree, could be a good weekend.   Just a few more weeks until November which is one of my favorite fishing months.

November and December r always fun!  I'm excited also Quill.  But I'm sure enjoying the current weather also!  Just perfect outside.

I don't think there are any tournaments this weekend - but don't forget the War Eagle Craft Fair (depending on if one needs to use 303 to get to hiway 12).

It's always something I guess!

Darn crafters are already piling into Bella Vista. Driving 25 mph on the highways, gawking and pointing every which direction, slamming on their brakes and turning with no signal, etc. Guess I'm not much of a welcome wagon sort of guy when it comes to tourists. LOL

I welcome any and all tourists - so long as they don't make already dangerous country roads (over by our house, just above Neill's Bluff) more dangerous, so I hear ya.

Luckily, it's about 4 minutes from our house to 412 launch, so if you need me Saturday morning - I'll be in Blue Springs just messing around

Well they have added heavy cloud cover to the 20 degree drop in temperature to this weekend forecast. Should run off all the wake boaters and have the pleasure boaters heading in to get their boats ready for winter. I can't wait see those water temps drop and those big boats go into hiding. Time to find those warm hats and add a thermos of coffee to the packing list.

Now where did I put that save face ??

Yah, they're a pain, heavy traffic, big lines at restaurants, etc, but they do bring in a lot of revenue to the area, so it's a good thing for local businesses.  If you're thinking of launching your boat at RB this weekend, think again, Hwy 12 will be backed up.
