I just bought a 2002 16/42 supreme 160 with a 2002 25hp merc.  The boat looks good- but has obviously sat out in the sun for a while.  The gel coat or whatever they use on the inside is pretty worn out.  Outside finish looks perfect.  What is the best way to redo that?  Roll on some waxed gel coat? Spray it?  Paint maybe?  The motor started and all that so I hope it won't cause problems.  Time shall tell.  It also has what I assume is an aerator in the back.  Looks like it needs to be replaced- although i rarely keep fish anyway.  Thanks yall.

I have a livewell pump, but I have NEVER needed it. The livewell has a small hole on bottom to let water drain out and a larger hole on the side that has a drain plug that can be removed. With the drain plug out water cycles in and out as ppl move around in the boat and the few times I have put trout in the live well they were a little too healthy when I tried to fetch them out of the livewell.

Ham is right about the live well pump, a sump pump would be more useful.

When we did a major rebuild on our river boat about a year and a half ago we didn't replace the gunwales. This summer we sanded and repainted the interior with a guality top side marine paint. A little sand made for a nice non slip surface. The gunwales are oak from the local wood working warehouse.
