yaknar Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Floated down the the river for the last time this year and kissed a couple fish good bye.Thought I would take a couple pictures of the trees changing but the reds haven't made it out yet. Had a nice float, the river is the lowest it has been all year. I caught 3 whites, that has never happened to me before, all on grubs and 2 suckers on crankbaits. I didn't catch anything big but enough to keep it interesting. Floated to Shelvin Rock and pulled up a lot of leaves on the crankbaits. Everyone keep posting so I have something to read. Took pictures of a few, posted too many and released them all to catch next year..... Dougie and Mofloatjunkie 2
Al Agnew Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 You gotta be the king of multi-species angling! In all the years I've fished Ozark streams, I can count on two hands the number of catfish I've caught on lures, and the number of suckers on one hand.
Mofloatjunkie Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 Nice whites. I caught the crap out of them this year all the way up to Delaware. Almost every float trip. Guess they are refugees of the flood.
Ham Posted October 19, 2015 Posted October 19, 2015 Northern Hog Suckers on a crankbait! Very Nice!. The James seems to be loaded with Channel cats. I havent fished the James that often, but I have caught multiple channel catfish there. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
