Hey all... I know I have a "right" to fish Mill creek with my daughter next weekend Nov 7th, but I also don't want some idiot sticking an arrow through one of us.  Will the deer hunters be off the creek up in the woods.  Should I even risk it.

Why don't you wear a little blaze orange, a hat or a handkerchief should make you visible enough. November 14 statewide firearms season begins. I would not venture out without the full requered blaze orange requirements during that period.

   Mic my friend,

If you are worried about this please don't get into your car to drive there! Like the above post just wear a little brighter. The road trip is much more dangerous than the walk along the creek. That and the hunters I know would rather get away from the places that have traffic where you will be fishing,

You'll be fine Nov 7, as the archers are pretty far removed from parking lots and walking trails. Stay away Nov 14-20, as the firearms folks will be out in full-force in some of the only public grassland in the county. You'll be better off if try fishing elsewhere during firearms deer season.

WARNING!! Comments to be interpreted at own risk.

Time spent fishing is never wasted.

Thanks gents... I figured they would be back up in the woods, but I don't hunt.  So wanted to double check.

Let us know how the Mill fishes this weekend. I'll be heading there next week myself.  It'll be my first time there.

If I make it I will.  However, the following weekend is opening of Deer (gun) season.  I made the mistake of going a few years back.  If not taking a break from hunting, I would hit C&R at one of the trout parks.
