176champion Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Heading back to Shell knob boat ramp last night, from point 23 i made a wrong turn and we wound up all the way down by arrow point (i think it was called) so we hit track back on gps and made it back to boat ramp...but we did have a nice 20 mile ride at 50 mph....i guess thats what i get for looking at all the pretty surroundings instead of where im going.....lol I know everything about nothing and know nothing about everything! 96 CHAMP Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 I did that at Norfork lake one time and had to stop and actually go up to someone's house to find out where I was, barely made it back to 101 boat dock, it was pitch black, woke up the next morning, went down to fire up the boat and was out of gas, not one of my better days as a young fisherman, I know how you feel Champ188 and 176champion 2
Hammer time Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 About 5 or 6 years ago a buddy and I was fishing out of Indain in his boat at night when a fog rolled in were you couldn't see 6 inches. If not for his new graph with gps we wouldn't of never made back to the ramp. Champ188 and 176champion 2

Blll Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 And an old school compass just won't help that much. Love my GPS! Last few foggy mornings it made the difference about going out or not. Just remember to clear old tracks. Hammer time and 176champion 2
