Members Ccox1982 Posted November 25, 2015 Members Posted November 25, 2015 Just a quick report. Fished both Friday and Saturday. Two units were running both days. Fished the stretch from Wildcat Shoals up to White Hole Resort. Fishing was good both days with Saturday being the best since it was overcast. Didn't catch big numbers, but we caught enough. Lot of stocker rainbows were caught. Had a few rainbows in the 15-16 inch range. Think we had 6 brown trout in the 17-18 inch range. All nice and thick males. Fished marabou jigs and 2 lb line. Brown and orange was the hot color. Also straight ginger and brown and olive worked as well. River was also quiet all weekend. Just a few boats which made it nice. Ham 1
Ham Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Good for you. I really struggle to catch trout on jigs with that much wind. It's an amazing river that constantly produces good numbers of nice fish. Ccox1982 1 Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
LittleRedFisherman Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 Brown and Orange, and olive and ginger, hard to beat colors! Great report, looking forward to getting on the White soon! Ccox1982 1 There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!
Ham Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 I literally expect a bite every cast on the White. I've gotten so spoiled that 10 fish an hour seems S L O W. If I go 5 minutes without a bite, I start gripping the stick a little harder. Good problem to have I guess. LittleRedFisherman and grizwilson 2 Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future.
