WeekendWarrior Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Went out today from 12:30-4:30 to cloudy windy conditions. Didn't take long before had 2 keepers in the boat. Ended up with 8 keepers and some shorts and around 10-15 whites. A-rig did the trick. Most around 2.5-2.75 with a good 4 lber. 96 CHAMP, MOsmallies and marcus 3
MOsmallies Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Nice!!! I wish I would of thrown it last weekend... Great pics. You're turning into a WeekDAY Warrior!
96 CHAMP Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Nice day of fishing Warrior, let me know if you would when a good jerkbait bite picks up, I may have to make a trip down if possible

Wish I would have got out earlier, I am sure I left a big one out there that could have been caught today. Was just a picture perfect fishing day.
96 CHAMP Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 There must be a million of those whites runnig that lake, I was having the same issues with them last week, thanks & good luck

It looks like you were running different colors and types of baits on your A-Rig. Do you normally find this to be more productive than running the same baits in the same size and same color? I've just always ran the same 5 baits but always wondered if mixing them up would help.
WeekendWarrior Posted December 3, 2015 Author Posted December 3, 2015 I usually mix it up with a little bit bigger bait on middle farthest back hook. Not sure it matters. I had some old ones already superglued and rigged from last year and they were weakened from the salt and went thru a few. Usually use bone color but like the white with black back as well. I think the wind is the key with the rig, along with shad around of course.
DChance Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 Nice catch! What type of water did you find the rig to be successful?
