Basschomper Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 Not sure if you have already traded or sold your Revo. I have a Curado I would be interested in trading you.

The original curado 200's are slightly wider than the Revo. I cant palm them due to a hand injury, thats why I switched to the Revo (its slightly more low profile)
Smalls21 Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 would you consider trading for a BPS Pro Qualifier 5.2:1?

Guest Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 My 5:1 gear ratio wishlist includes: the Revo Winch, Lew's BB1, Curado (newer version) actually the Original Revo S (gray $100 model) would be perfect if lower gear The B team includes: wider reels like the older curado & chronarch, the curado 100 fits the bill although I dont think they never made a 5 speed.
abkeenan Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 I have a PQ in the 5.2:1 ratio. Have had it for 3+ years and use it specifically and only for shallow to mid depth cranking. It's given me no troubles, casts a mile when you get it dialed in how you want it and nary ever a backlash. Really a solid reel especially when they are picked up on sale for $75 bucks. That said, I have a Lew's Speed Spool ($100 model but can find the newer LFS models for $79.99) in a low 5 ratio as well I use for deep cranking (DD22's, 10XD's, etc) and I will say it is smoother and the gears feel better on it. Not a knock on the PQ just think the Lew's just has a better build, fit and finish on it. Plus you mentioned you have hand issues and the Lew's LFS is also smaller and also is almost a full 2 ounces lighter. Figured I would give my 2 cents.

I've gotta couple curados from the early 2000 that Im thinking about upgrading. The Lew's BB1 is at the top of my list. I've gotta a speed spool MG that I use for jigs but it doesn't perform to well on the long cast with a crankbait. Especially light cranks like a wiggle wart are tough to throw on windy days, but you HAVE to fish them anyway. The first generation Revo S might be my all time best reel.
