Dutch Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 There is lots of water every where you look. I stopped by Rouark, Stockton public use and Crabtree Cove.

The campground roads are covered at Rouark and Crabtree. The launch ramp at Rouark and Crabtree are in the parking lot. The launch ramp at the Stockton side is under water as I couldn't see it anywhere. strat278 1
Lifes2Short Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Happy new year Dutch, how was the water color in the main lake?
dan hufferd Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Thank you, I might try to get my January walleye Saturday. I wonder what that will be like ?
nxs Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 We went up there yesterday too. Upper lake is some nasty looking stuff. Just about as muddy as I've seen it. Aldrich you can load off the road, upper parking lot is ok. Didn't go down towards the dam but looks like it's is more clear from the pics. Hwy 123 out of Willard has water over the road and you have to jog around on a couple of farm roads to get around it. Went back on 215 to hwy 13 and headed down to Taney and BS. Lots of water but not nearly as much as earlier this year and the water has good color to it. You'll have to load off the road at Beaver Creek and park on the grass or mud as it may be.
Dutch Posted January 1, 2016 Author Posted January 1, 2016 The water color at Rouark was dingy but down by the day it was pretty clear. I'm bustin' a gut to wet a line but I really didn't see a place that I want to launch my boat until the water comes down some. I didn't see much floating debris but I'm sure the feeder streams has a lot that may still make the main lake. NXS I'm sure glad I decided to go back to Spfld. via 32/13 instead of 123.
nxs Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 We're usually going to BS by now and wanting to get on the water pretty bad but looks like will have to wait for awhile. I know there has to be some walleye somewhere looking for me. Trips this summer have been few and far in between with all the motor trouble I've had and now that everything seems to be fixed too much water.
