Members MSeery Posted January 5, 2016 Members Posted January 5, 2016 Santa brought me a new Lowrance HDS7 with structure scan. I am just itching to get on the lake to map out some areas. With the high water and all of the issues that float with it....I am thinking the most prudent move is to wait until end of February to get the boat out and start my scouting. What are your thoughts? straw hat 1
Dutch Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 I've go a new rod and lots of baits that I am making so I'm thinking when there is a ramp with a courtesy dock available I'm on it.
Members riverman Posted January 5, 2016 Members Posted January 5, 2016 I launched in the CC parking lot Sunday afternoon. I didn't encounter a lot of debree floating in the lake. We went up Turnback all the way to Fiddlers Ford. There were some logs and trash floating in the river but nothing that was terrible concerning.
straw hat Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 Just curious Riverman, but was there any parking or was the whole parking lot covered? Did it flood the toilet? Thanks for any info.
Members riverman Posted January 5, 2016 Members Posted January 5, 2016 There were probably 8-10 parking spots not under water. As of Sunday the toilet was was still dry. We actually motored between the light at the left edge of the parking lot and the end of the lot to enter the main lake.
dan hufferd Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 Go now, I would not be able to wait. I put in a Ruark. I should have went further north for the fish but it is always good to be on the water. I had to beach the boat to get in and out, no dock but it was doable.
