Does anyone know of any good spring time patterns I could tie up to catch crappie during March - June? Thanks in advance

I used to catch a bunch in a farm pond with a simple hair streamer, but with nothing but silver tinsil. Don't ask, can't tell you why. Didn't catch anything else with it.

The clouser Deep Minnow is a #1 producer for Crappie and White Bass on Stockton Lake. Chartreuse over white or gray over white are my personal favorite colors. When the water is cold early Spring use a foam float on your leader to hold the fly stationary over inactive fish. When the spawn is on these flies really shine. Also, mini-jigs in 1/80th or 1/64th are great. Wild turkey gray marabou with a little flash is really good on both White Bass and Crappie. Walleye will hit these flies too, as well as everything else at the right time and place. good luck!

1/50 oz white, gray or chartreuse jigs under a float will work on a fly rod. You need to find the right depth to get bit.

Adding some sparkle will help.

These are great suggestions.  Don't be afraid to tie the flies in various sizes and under most conditions, tie them sparse.  There is usually a size and color that out produces everything else.  A little flash is good, but just a little.

The only one you need is a micro jig(1/100) with a white tail, chartreuse body, and a red collar. Fished under an indicator.

A note to blacknose. I never used flys like in the picture you show.My question is if you put this under a float would you be draging it back? Or leave it stationary. From the picture it looks like it would hang vertical if stationary. This all may sound dumb but like i said i never have used flys and just wondering.
