I'm looking to brave the cold weather to wet a line this weekend. Only thing is I don't know of any ramps or areas accessible to put the boat in the water. I under stand slower is better given the high water and debris but I'm itching to go fish. And suggestions on put in locations ? Thanks.

Lake has gone down about 9 feet & continues to drop so either Table Rock Lake State Park or Moonshine Beach should both be fine.

And the clearest water is what I would want to fish. They have already had someone move their house up and down, no reason to deal with dirty windows too.

Eric, I've never found much of a solution for cold, muddy water. My advice would be to stay east of the Kimberling City bridge. Cow Creek, State Park and Indian Point ramps should all be open.

You definitely don't want to deep fish in cold mud. That is pretty much a non starter. Fishing the clearest water you can find amounts to fishing the most stable water.

The water in our area ( STATE PARK - MOONSHINE BEACH - 86 BRIDGE @ LONG CREEK ) is in very good shape. No mud, clarity is very good & I have seen little if any debris. Normally after a high water scenario we have enough crap ( & BIG STUFF ) floating in on the shoreline & into our boat-dock to keep us busy for days. This time " NADA " don't know where it went " BUT BETTER THERE THAN HERE " !!!!!!! As an added bonus, you got the lake to yourself, if I have seen 1 boat a day I have seen a lot. That is why this right now is my favorite time of the year to chase those green fish.
