Yeah, Cardiac and Suicide were hard for me to find and both are a bit rough to get to. But yeah I wondered about the exact location of those places, and finally found out how to get there from reading the missouri trout hunter webpages. http://www.missouritrouthunter.com/MeramecRiver.htm

Next time I want to see if I can wade either right below meramec springs, or up from scott's ford.

Wading up from Scotts would be a waste of time. Some trout between Suicide and Scotts but you will need a boat. Best fishing is usually between Hwy 8 and Diving Bluff (about 3/4 mile below Suicide Hill).

So far I've been surprised that I've been able to wade all the way from a little below suicide hill to dry fork. There's some tricky (deep or too fast) spots where I had to pick my path wisely, but experiences so far this year, lead me to think it might be worth it. I tried it once last winter and it was too deep, but maybe this year it's shallow enough to wade for a good bit further upstream. And I wouldn't really care too much if I wasn't catching many trout. As long as there's good frequency of hookups, with some bigger fish thrown in the mix it would be good enough.

At that point you should go with someone, leave a car at the park, and go from Suicide to the parking lot.

Yeah sounds like a fun idea. I just don't think I could convince any of my fishing buddies to do that. It's a lot of work. I waded like a mile or so from a little downstream of cardiac up to dry fork and then another mile back, and even that was pretty exhausting. I imagine it would be pretty rough to have to do it for the 4+ miles between suicide and scott's ford, but at least all of it would be going downstream, not fighting the current half the time. In the end though I imagine I'd either have to kayak it or just wade some from each direction and then wade back to the access, and just not cover all of it. I imagine like gavin said, at some point I'd come across water that's too deep to continue wading through anyways to get all the way from end to the other.
