1-23-16 Rough Day

Launched at about 8:30 and got loaded at about 4:30.  It was a tough go for us to say the least.  Fished everything from the Ned to the A-rig.  Ended up boating 2 fish. 1 good largemouth and 1 keeper kentucky.   Largemouth on war eagle spinnerbait out of a flooded bush and the kentucky on the Ned in about 20 ft of water off a bluff end.

Found several schools of fish deep but never could get bit.  Tried both spoons and drop shots.

Water was 44-47 degrees and pretty dirty.

What part of the lake did you all fish? Was there much boat traffic?

We were in Little Indian most of the day.  Then ran down to Wolf Pen for the last couple hours. (Which is where the 2 fish came from)

Came across maybe 6 other boats all day.

Not bad for this time of year to get a couple of good fish.

Thanks for the report. I hope to get out this week around the dam area. Looks like we could have some warm temps.
