That is true Trav.  Especially at the lakes, if you don't reserve then quite often you don't camp.  Especially true on holiday weekends, and it does reduce the number of "problem campers" for us.  The days of hey it looks nice lets get some, week, our tent and a few cases of beer and go camping at the lake on July 4th weekend are long gone on many lakes and popular areas.

We have several retired couples who work or volunteer for us.  Some have pointedly explained that "My wife works for you, occasionally I volunteer for her", otherwise I go fishing.  Some spouses aren't quite so accommodating.

You have your own campground?... very cool.

Not quite, my own but I do manage the ones on Pomme for the Corps of Engineers.

Right on. I like Nemo the best. My father lives in Urbana and Nemo is the closest to his house.

I like corp parks period. I have a book called "Camping with the Corps" and use it like a road map when out of Florida. There are only three Corp parks in south Florida. Have camped months of time at them. Franklin is my fave.

I'm glad I came down here and seen this. We have truly considered selling out and Traveling but right now we have a place by Bennett Spring and a Cabin by Truman Lake by Warsaw. It is nice staying at our Home and the Cabin for short times. All paid for.

We have traveled all over the U.S. back in the '80's so it isn't like we aren't doing something we haven't already done.
