Humminbird 688ci DI HD. Had it out today for the first time. Everything on the GPS side operates properly. Water temp was accurate.  When trying to use the locater part of it, it has a solid black screen. It also shows water depth at 0.9" to 1.1" no matter what depth im in. Here are a few pics for reference. I checked cords and all seem secure.  Any clue?

Pics wont upload. will try in comments.

Its gotta be somthing with the transducer, I have an extra that will fit that model you can try. I had some issues with my bird doing that when i got my boat and the transducer wire had a splice. There are like 5 different little wires inside the transducer cable. I got it patched up and it worked perfect. Now it sits comfortably in a cabinet
