Piercy is charged with Involuntary Manslaughter in the handcuffed drowning death of Brandon Ellingson, which took place in May of 2014. After a protracted investigation, special prosecutor William Seay filed the charge against Piercy in December of 2015. Seay said the charge carries the implication of recklessness. The charge is a Class C Felony, which in Missouri entails a sentence of up to seven years in prison. Piercy has been released from jail on bond, and has since resigned his position as an elected member of the Morgan County R-II School Board. The Highway Patrol has placed Piercy on leave without pay. Piercy’s case will be set for trial at a future date, in Morgan County.

fishinwrench Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 There won't be a trail. He will plead guilty to a misdemeanor in the end. Guarantee it.
Deadstream Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 He hopes wrench. C felony to an A Misdemeanor is a stretch. He deserves a D felony for sure. Maybe zero jail but not a chance to ever be a LEO again. No Weapons, etc., I agree with you, he pleads out and the State And his insurance pays! (that means us)
