podum Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Are there good public access points below the park? I'm going to be in the area in a couple of weeks but have never fished Roaring River. I don't like crowds and prefer a little elbow room even if there are a few less fish. Thoughts from RR veterans would be appreciated. I wish I had more time more than I wish I had more money.
Steve Smith Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 Stop by Tim's Fly Shop for up to date info. I'd suggest the State access just east of the park on hwy F. The last flood took out most of the access roads so the MDC access best bet. Park in lot and walk down to River. trythisonemv 1 ___________________________ AKA Flysmith - Cassville MO
Amery Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 We fished it Friday night. Parked at the conservation lot. Found a few fish. trythisonemv 1
ollie Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 Last time I fished the RR and parked at the lot I found a LOT of skinny water with nothing in it!! Of course that was last year and there has been a couple of floods since then. I have had good success in the past fishing below the park however.
