Hey guys and gals. It's been awhile since I've been out. Been so busy with work and chansing those whitetail around on my free time. Spent the most part of Monday double checking my boat and after a couple trips to Walmart and O'Reillys me and cooper hit the water around 3pm. Launched the ol champ at cape fair ran towards wholly didn't wanna go to far not knowing how the old fuel would burn. Caught 3 non keepers on a A-rig and managed 3 more non keepers on a wiggle wart crawdad color. The arig fish seemed to be in trees 30ft of water. The wiggle wart fish were really shallow. The fish seemed to be really scattered.  We caught 6 fish and we're off the water around 530. Just another great opportunity to spend a afternoon with my oldest boy doing what we love to do.

So I know this isn't a deer hunting form but wanted to share a proud daddy moment from the 2015 youth rifle season.

I  Spend most of my time knowing cooper had a great opportunity to harvest his first deer this year. Since he is now big enough to handle a deer rifle safely and by himself.

So opening day of youth rifle season we went got settled into out double bull blind. ( me my dad and cooper it was a full blind lol) Set up over looking a harvested soybean field. The night before cooper went back though the trail camera pictures for the 100th time saying " daddy he's on my hit list and him O and him lol" I said " son you harvest anything you want" well he made me write this hit lit of bucks names and said " I'm bringing it with me in the blind in the morning lol". "When the sun finally came up cooper" said seemed like it took forever lol. I looked over to my left and seen a good buck working his way in. At this time I looked back to my right and cooper wad already on the gun. I said " cooper what are you doing?" He said " daddy does right here" I said " are you going to take one?" Cooper " yep"  click there goes the safety. I've got a clear shot... BOOOOOOM. He made a absolutely perfect shot and she dropped in her tracks.

I felt bad if there was any other youth hunters for a square mile from our set up. I say our blind was rocking high fives even some tears. The excitement that my son showed I couldnt keep it in. This kid works his butt of with me and my dad checking camera's and understands what I means to have a opportunity to harvest and provide food for his family.            So when I say this was by far one of the best times I'v had ever I mean it. To top it off my dad was with us. God sure is great.

Hopefully the pictures doesn't offend anybody. If so I aploize in advance.

That smile says it all.

Thanks guys look forward to reading a sharing what I learn this year on our beautiful lake.
