Stump bumper Posted March 5, 2016 Posted March 5, 2016 What a day, saw Lance and Dan catching fish, the ned rig could not hit the water without a green fish on it. I will post a pic later, sure Lance and Dan will also. Hickory Creek area is a nice green and I could see small fish chasing lures about five feet down 15 feet away from the boat. I didn't get a striper and watched Dan get three, but with about 20 green fish and nice 6lb bass with some whites around 4lbs thrown in, great day. Lots of boats in the river and everyone was nice to each other giving plenty of room. Blll, Lance34 and Dan the fisherman 3
Dan the fisherman Posted March 5, 2016 Author Posted March 5, 2016 As stump stated, what a day. I got out at 7 am and immediately got hooked up to a white. I continued to fish the area and landed 3 more WB. And then, dead, and I mean dead for 8 hrs.... I had launched out of HC and fished a few miles pasted BS with nothing to show. Around 430-5 pm I went back down river and things picked up. I was able to land 3 striper 2 big'in crappie and 2 more jumbo WB.... What I learned, what I learn is that unless ur bass fishing ( which I should have turned to) is that the fishing really slows 2 hrs after sun rise or 2 hrs before sun set. All in all a beautiful day and still enjoyed all 12 hrs of fishing today. Here's a couple of pics. Lance34 1

Lance34 Posted March 5, 2016 Posted March 5, 2016 What a day! Tons of boats on the water. Guessing seeing next weeks forecast got folks out today. Water temp 51-52 Got started about 11:00 and shut her down about 3 to go get my girls. This trip was great. Being that my dad who in the past has not been in the best of health but is stating feel better and his strength is increasing, was able to come along and spend some time on the water. As always here lately I hooked up to a striper right off the bat. Out of all the ones I've caught or hooked up with. This one was the first one that caused a cluster. Got her in though! It was slow for me, but I found an area that was holding crappie just couldn't zero in on a depth. Caught them 8-14ft down in about 15 feet of water. Let's say the ladies are on the prowl. Ended with 8 good eaters, a couple of shorts, and some whites. Good to catch up with you two fellas out there today. Here some pics Dan the fisherman, marcus, Quillback and 1 other 4
