Members gwh Posted March 4, 2016 Members Posted March 4, 2016 Fishing is getting better. Was tough for us first two days. Weather? Crowd? There were fish in the stream, saw them. This afternoon they started hitting. Not very many here. Tag today was 2100+, they thought there would be that many on the first. Other notes --Ollie's BBQ is closed and for sale. Have to go to town now for BBQ. Dry down here. Saw a big brush fire West of town on Monday evening. At Oak Hill two homes burn to the ground and a third damaged. Don't know the cause. Be careful with your fire. Oak Hill was sold and all the campers have to move out. Going to be a KOA campground.
JestersHK Posted March 4, 2016 Posted March 4, 2016 Thanks for the report. Saw that Ollies was closed and was hoping it was just a seasonal thing... Going to miss the biscuits and gravy.

Yes them Trailers burnt across the road from me because them Guys wanted to have a Camp Fire after it getting away from them twice last years and being told by the Law it wasn't wise this year. We left about 2PM and the fire was smoldering, they had already left and went back to Kansas City. We was just lucky because of the Trailers having to be moved the Propane Tanks had been emptied the day before. oneshot
brittsnbirds Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Thanks for the info onshot! No one else is posting so I guess everything is good? We have the same fire restrictions up here in Cass County. I've got a ton of brush to burn but it's not worth it!!
