Hammer time Posted March 5, 2016 Posted March 5, 2016 Put in at 11am to replace a few bunks on trailer and fished for 3 hours. Goof water color but no wind and high skies. Tried the gambit of crankbaits not a bite. Fished up to viney creek on swings and bluff ends. On way back hit some long flat pea gravel runouts and with 1/2 fb jig and found 6 short spots, that was it. Noticed thousands of inch and 1/2 baitfish schooling and dying everywhere. I guess that's what made it so tuff, but I'm sure someone was on em. Tight lines and cprt

Quillback Posted March 5, 2016 Posted March 5, 2016 I wasted an hour fishing in a shad filled cove yesterday. They were so thick in the back of that cove that I could smell them. From now on I am staying out of any coves that are filled with shad because I can't get a bite when they are thick like that.
Ketchup Posted March 5, 2016 Posted March 5, 2016 Is it the area I'm fishing, but I haven't noticed any of these major shad areas in Long Creek. TinBoats BassClub. An aluminum only bass club. If interested in info send me a PM.
