That's a shame man. But there will be plenty more days to come. Will be interesting to see what sort of pattern they'll be on once things settle a bit.

Yeah, Mary and I went out to our land on the river today and hauled the boat with us.  About 2 PM we decided to get on the river, even though it was very murky where our land is.  We went up to Onondaga, hoping to find a bit of clearer water where the Huzzah comes in.  Ended up going up the Huzzah, which was really cranking, up to the first big hole.  Visibility on the Huzzah was about 3-4 feet, and we caught several fish, nothing very big, a 14 inch smallie the top fish.  The Meramec had no more than 6 inches of visibility above the Huzzah, and once the clearer Huzzah water mixed in it had about 15 inches of visibility.  Caught a couple decent smallies on crankbaits in the Meramec.

Looks like it will be dirty for a while.  I guess Dry Fork is pumping a lot of muddy water in, and Maramec Spring is probably dirty as well.  A lot of flow, too!

I always keep forgetting that the Dry Fork is the Bourbeuse of the Upper Meramec!

Why is that?  What is in it's drainage that causes all the mud????
