Waiting for more shipments of head to get here so I can fill a TW order so I went fishing in the Kings for some crappie.  Glad the rain chased everyone away.  was an enjoyable day.  Saw two bald eagles.  Ended up with 10 keeper crappie.  Some were as deep as 15 ft.  Had to do some adjusting because there is a lot of water coming down the kings and the current was rolling.  Finally lost the crappie jig i have been fishing with all spring.  I think it was a toothy critter, but i was still pretty bummed.  I think I could have made it all spring on one crappie jig.

before dark tried a crank bait even though it was slick water, but sure enough the bass made a move to the bank to get in a feed before it got dark.  caught lots of shorts and three keeps.  caught them on the model a bomber and the iovino crankbait.  when it got very close to dark the bite quit.  idled back to the ramp and came home.  the lake has many floaters again.  be safe while navigating.

Bo, thanks for the report.  Sounds like a pretty good day of catching.  Just enough to keep it interesting.  How much water fell over the past couple of days?  I left Tuesday and it was just starting to rain. Is it supposed to continue through the weekend?

Since Monday here at Blue Eye, including today I think we have gotten about 1 inch.  Nothing heavy at all, just kind of misty sprinkles and enough to make it a bit miserable.  Did talk to a client from Fayetteville and he said they had gotten around 3 inches in that time period.  Taneycomo was running clear today.

On my TR report to the KC Star on Monday the lake was 914.95 and today it is 915.45 so we really have not had much of an increase.  We will see after today, but looks like we dodged this one.

bill most of the rain was south from berryville on down on the kingston area.  kings river is on a pretty good toot again.  really don't know just how far down the river the color will push, but would not surprise me if it made it down as far as viola.  a friend of mine came up from berryville yesterday, and said that at the 86 bridge it was still rolling mud.

Thanks Bo, how was the water temp? The muddy water is coming just when the kings was starting to look great with that green tint it's known for.
