Members Walleyes and Roosters Posted March 14, 2016 Members Posted March 14, 2016 Moved a load of stuff out to my new place in Lake view from Colorado. Got to spend a couple days on the water and got my butt kicked. I do have forty years experience and have fished from Utah and Michigan and every where in-between mostly for walleyes. I did get to fish a couple of days with a buddy of mine who moved out 2 years ago who caught fish so I know there's hope. We did use separate boats so we could cover more water. First day he caught them on swim baits that I did not have so at the end of the day off to Boat dock and dropped 50 bucks. Next day they were really biting on Megabass jerk baits and at the end of the day off to the Boat dock and bought a couple. Holy smokes-$$$$$$$$$ Not to say I do not have any tackle - I have boxes and boxes of stuff. Most guys I talked with say Bull Shoals a tuff nut to crack but I am up for the challenge. We will be out there full time the end of April. Hope to have a good report next post. See ya on the water, Rick Fish24/7 1
Ron Burgundy Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 The good news is about May the bite will pick up and u can catch some....this time of year can be tough....seems like the bass guys get several when targeting bass this time of year....back about 11 yrs ago the FLW walleye tour came to Bull in April and on the last day there was no walleyes brought to the scale , those guys are good and even they struggled. Rob P Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 That FLW was held when the minimum walleye were 15", now its 18"
