The spoon probably drifted out of the cone. That's why it disappeared. When it comes back, it may have come back into the cone (due to a fluttering action moving the jig allowing a glide pattern). 

 

Thats my guess. I have to have my rod just to the right or left of my trolling motor to read the bait on the graph.  Sometimes it disappears and I adjust and it comes back in.  Boat movement will ensure this disappearance issue.
