....or a Mitch Fields enhanced Hula grub ?

5.00 per jig is a little crazy when it's the TRAILER that is getting the bite.

Trailers play a big part for sure, as well as jig bulk

I hear ya Wrench! The sparseness of that Dirks jig is what I think makes it a really good cold water jig... I've been playing with the same premise on some homemade jigs myself... Using the 7/16 oz. Mitch Head as my base....

If I am able to get out I will stick with my hair jigs and brush hog or similiar trailers. It is what I like to do and can make several for $5.

Wrench. If the wind will give me a break I hope to get out there and see just what I can do right handed this next week.

What I like about it is that it is small and compact and the fact it is a heavier jig (1/2 oz) than a traditional finesse jig like the Eakins or similar. My buddies jig represents this well.
