Went to the back of PC early this AM before work.  Was hoping for some top water stripers.  Water temp was 54ish and a decent brown stain to the water.  Marked a few fish in the back of PC but not many and they were very scattered.  No topwater activity to speak of.  At 6:00 I ran to the island - looked/casted around for a while and marked almost nothing.  Decided to run back to the back of PC at 6:45 and started trolling some flickershad.  My buddy- who had never caught a striper got absolutely SMASHED by this fish.  I actually thought he was hung up. The fish hit the flickershad about as hard as any Striper I have ever caught while trolling- it just hit the wall.  Not bad for the first striper of his life!!

We trolled around for about 20 more minutes with no bites before packing up and heading to the office.

Gotta love a morning on the water and living in a place where you can catch fish like this and still be in the office by 8.30!  It was cool to help someone catch the biggest fish of their life.

Marked a few small schools of Shad- but my electronics are not great (Lowrance Mark4) and I don't love it.  But certainly no large bait balls or big areas of bait.

Awesome report and very similar to mine today. My buddy caught by far the biggest fish of his life and I couldn't be more happy. The whole thing about different stages of being a fisherman...I get a bigger thrill watching others catch fish these days. I didn't even put a rod in my hand today and still can't wipe the smile off my face.
