MrDucky Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 Agreed Safety that would be great to know being new to the area Yikes!!! I Hate that warning horn
DeepDiver75 Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 I was wondering if anyone knew what the best route to take from Taney dam area to get to Beaver tailwaters and an approximate time it would take? I have been to Beaver previously just not from Taney. Trying to figure out what time we would need to leave Sat morning to make it over there for the tournament. Thanks for any info.
duckydoty Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Deepdiver, I'm bringing a fella with me that is not on a team yet if you're still looking for a fourth. I don't know how to get down there, so I'm leaving Springfield at noon on Friday. ROAD TRIP!!!! Hope to get there by 7:30 the next morning duckydoty A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!! Visit my website at.. Ozark Trout Runners
Guest flyfishBDS Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 They ran this afternoon, the past few days 4pm ish, low water till then Im hopfeful that pattern might continue throiugh the week . saturdsy they shopuldn't run much on my expectation _ hope lol Basically your not far from any exit on Beaver, you will hear the horn through the top 3 miles of river. The key point is get back to the road shore asap, closer to dam faster it is. You CANNOT FISH IN GENERATION PRETTY MUCH PERIOD dON'T THINK YOU CAN WADER IT 1 UNIT IS 4-5 FEET OF WATER If you want more specifics on where your going to be fishing etc, ask me saturday morning cheers steve Easiest way from Taney is head down towards Harrison hit 62 turn right go through Green Forest Berryville Eureka Springs, turn left at Exxon onto 197, go across Dam, down hill and store is across bridge on the right about 1.5 hrs from taney easy
MrDucky Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 okay here is my plan , Im gonna leave Aurora around 3:00 or 3:30ish Sat morning and headed to highway 37 and down that way . I wanna be at the BDS @ 6:00am to buy my License and some fly's . If anyone is going down Highway 60 thru Monnett to the 37 pm me and i will give ya my cell phone number , we can meet up and caravan They ran this afternoon, the past few days 4pm ish, low water till then Im hopfeful that pattern might continue throiugh the week . saturdsy they shopuldn't run much on my expectation _ hope lol Basically your not far from any exit on Beaver, you will hear the horn through the top 3 miles of river. DeepDiver75 Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 I'll be down there Friday too DuckyDoty. They've been starting to generate about 4:00 the last few days so I'm hoping to get an hour or two in before they start. We'll be camping down below the dam (white silverado with diveflag plate on front bumper)stop by and visit if you get a chance. I won't know until tomorrow afternoon if we need a 4th or not. I've got 3 definites and 1 maybe. If the 4th doesn't come we'd be happy to have your friend as our 4th.
