Ryan Walker Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 Cold front and wind!!! Did manage to eek out 8, but I earned every one of them. Most of my fish came at the first shoal above the ramp, against the southeast bank. Bite was different today. Typically I've gotten more takes downstream, with short strips back. Today they didn't want any movement and most of my bites were when the fly was at it's deepest point. Crazy things.. Clousers, again. Purple and Pink-Purple and Chartreuse. Hope everyone has a good weekend. I'm off tot he turkey woods in Ava for the youth hunt!! chi0082, slab slinger, Steve Smith and 4 others 7
curtisce Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 two of us got there around 7:00. Tried across from the ramp then up below the first shoal and then p and around to Taylors. Caught 6 between 2 of us. Another fisherman said the water temp was 56. Much clearer and lower than 2 days ago. We left around 10 cold wind without an active bite ran us off. Need a few warm nights Steve Smith 1 The answer may not lie at the bottom of a glass, but you should always check
