Members Champ89 Posted April 11, 2016 Members Posted April 11, 2016 Had a small 10 boat tournament up in the Niangua on Saturday 4/9 (post front – day 2). Not many fish were weighed in, however there was a 4.15, 5.4, 5.11 and a 7.5 brought to the scales from 4 different boats. All caught on cranks or jigs. Most came from the 5 to 10 foot range. And as always a few good fish, were lost as well. Water had good color and temps were 55-59. We were hoping the crappie would have been up on the bank spawning with the full moon and all but they were pretty slow.
Members Bigin64083 Posted April 11, 2016 Members Posted April 11, 2016 I was fishing from the dock on the 42mm and the crappie were really slow. The ones caught were shallow in about 3 feet of water on jigs. Hopefully a week of warm weather and the rain last night will speed things up next weekend.
Seth Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 Crappie were hanging out in 12-20' of water around brush on the Glaize arm that day. You could fill the boat quick during the last 30 minutes of light. It was a fish nearly every cast at that point. marcus and MOsmallies 2

Fished crappie from 4 to 7:30 pm on Saturday (4/9). We grinded out a limit between 4 and 7 and then caught another limit and 10 shorts between 7 and 7:30 pm. All on jigs... Most were on a 1/32 oz black/chartreuse tube jig 4 ft deep under a cork and the rest were on 1/16 oz road runners (blue ice and blue/chartreuse). tho1mas, Johnsfolly, marcus and 3 others 6
DADAKOTA Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Nicely done. Littleman seems to be enjoying it all. MOsmallies 1
