Brian Sloss Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Took a guide trip out yesterday, Adam from KC. We ran Turner to Whitten. Fishing was outstanding in the morning, with probably 20 fish landed, the biggest was a fat female of close to 17 inches. After lunch, the fishing dropped off a lot, with only 2 or 3 landed and a couple others hooked. The most effective technique proved to be fishing a white/grey, 1/16thoz marabou jig under and indicator about 5 ft, on a fly rod. Pat's rubber legged stone caught a few as well. Threw a couple different streamer patterns as well, but only hooked one that way. Great guy to spend the day on the river with. netboy Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Sounds like a great trip Brian. Glad to hear a good report!
Johnsfolly Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 Nice Fish and report! Have to get back to the 11 pt.
DainW Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 Thanks for the report. Sounds like the fishing has improved somewhat?
Brian Sloss Posted April 15, 2016 Author Posted April 15, 2016 It has somewhat, they got one stocking in on the white ribbon area. They had to bring the fish from Bennett Springs I think as they have been waiting for test results at Montauk. There has been a disease scare there. I don't know any more about that though. www.elevenpointflyfishing.com www.elevenpointcottages.com (417)270-2497
