Quillback Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 17 lbs. and change for the fish kisser. Looks like the lake is fishing pretty well. I'd like to see Jimmy pull it off. Blll 1
Blll Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 I'd like to see Jimmy do it too. I don't know if he has the stamina for a full tournament. This is only my 3rd FLW on Beaver since I moved here. There has been almost no talk on our forum until this post. In years past there were estimates of daily weights, who was the fav and just general interest. It seems there is just less interest in posting on our forum than in the last couple of years. We fishing less or just not talking? I need all the "learnin" I can get. Trying to hold up my end when I get out. JMO
aarchdale@coresleep.com Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 Seems like FLW rarely gets brought up on this web site. If it was the Elites everyone would be talking
Members MJREDDY Posted April 15, 2016 Members Posted April 15, 2016 Prob. due to Twitter, Instagram, Facebook - messages go out on different wires these days. I prefer the forums, but then I sit at a desk all day.
Guest Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 Sunday was my first trip to beaver in 2016. My dads been in the hospital & I haven't had time to fish. I can assure you, some of the boats that I saw scatterd between Monte Ne & War Eagle are sitting in the top 10. The keystone light boat was slow cruising into Monte while I was unhooking a 3lb fish. They were eating the kvd 1.5 up on the chunk rock in 2ft. Of course the wind blew 40mph, so the square bill was the only bait that I could dial up bites. I caught 30 & had 3 limits of largemouth between 12-15lbs. Kinda insane looking at where that would put me. But I was fun fishing & there so happened to be FLW pros on the lake. This is setup for power fishing techniques. When the wind starts gusting on Sunday it's going to shake up the leader board. Those bed fisherman will struggle & leave the door open for the bank beaters. I figured it might take 17lbs per day to win. But that's a tall order at the worlds toughest fishery. Btw, beaver has become a favorite of mine recently. You won't hear me dogging her anymore. I'm looking forward to a new mud line, next time it floods.
Quillback Posted April 16, 2016 Author Posted April 16, 2016 Jimmy is still hanging in there, supposed to be breezy the next couple of days, should help his spinner bait fishing.

Members wayneblevins Posted April 16, 2016 Members Posted April 16, 2016 I was made a attempt to crappie fish in the horse shoe bend area yesterday but I did not have much luck only caught five keepers and a bunch of shorts but it was neat watching flw boats work the banks. The lake was not as busy as I thought it would be.
Guest Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 I caught a couple big crappie swimming the Ned around dock walkways by accident. Sometimes those fish are hard to catch because they're hiding in places where it's difficult to land a cast. Just my 2 cents
