I think we should get together for a couple "search and destroy" walleye trips. Bullshoals would be a good one to do that on. We could learn a lot in one day if we could spread out to find productive areas.

Devils lake is out of my budget, but good luck. Can't wait for the pic's

Even a group search and destroy mission on Stockton would be fun. Every boat given a mission to walleye fish using a different technique. A good friend and walleye fishing guru, Powerdive pointed out to me once that often on this forum you will read about some bass fisherman catching a huge walleye casting some fluke or ned or some other goofy thing. I know I tend to do the same thing over and over, putting some keepers in the boat. there's gotta be a LOT of big walleye in Stockton. Just have to figure out how to target them!

It would be fun ! I think it would enrich our fishing experience.

I was stationed at Minot AFB in the 70's. Didn't fish Devils lake but caught lots of nice northerns and walleyes close to Minot. Stay away from that place in the winter! Good golly it's cold!

We had a group of six trailering two boats up there and spent about $500.00 each for five days of fishing. Gas was much more expensive last time I went up, but I'm also at least four hours closer than you all.

That's not bad. I will put it on my bucket list. I have never fished the hard water either. I have an uncle that lives in Minnesota, I might try that some winter too. It looks productive on TV.
