bwcballer10 Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 In case you haven't heard, whites are thick in the Little Sac now.
Members 6lbstest Posted April 18, 2016 Members Posted April 18, 2016 Are they far up? Seems like most are having luck at Taylor, but haven't heard much around Orleans. I have had only moderate luck at either.
bwcballer10 Posted April 19, 2016 Author Posted April 19, 2016 They were right above the S-curve above Taylor this weekend. Gonna try it again tonight and see if they are still there.
Members 6lbstest Posted April 19, 2016 Members Posted April 19, 2016 Hope you find em again! Love hearing reports from the river, good luck.
bwcballer10 Posted April 20, 2016 Author Posted April 20, 2016 Had to go a little further upstream last night but we found lots of fish again, including a bonus walleye I caught on my first cast. Gotta love spring! trythisonemv and 6lbstest 2
Members 6lbstest Posted April 22, 2016 Members Posted April 22, 2016 bwcballer10, when you went a little further up, were you near the old railroad bridge, or were you further? I've never been up much past Taylor, don't know if a boat can go much further past the old railroad bridge.
slab slinger Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 Don't think you'll be able to get above powerline in a boat unless you've got a jet. Gets real shallow and narrow up there.
Members 6lbstest Posted April 22, 2016 Members Posted April 22, 2016 I'm a bank fisher, and sometimes use my kayak, I assumed that baller was using a boat, but I wasn't for sure, think I'm gonna try going to the railroad bridge this morning, haven't ever tried there before, couldn't hurt?
bwcballer10 Posted April 22, 2016 Author Posted April 22, 2016 I was a couple eddies below the railroad bridge when we got into them. Normally we put the canoe in at 215 and and take out at Taylor and do real well around the railroad bridge and the next couple of eddies below it. This year the fish just hadn't made it up that far in good numbers last time we were there. So I have been putting the little jonboat in at Taylor and using my trolling motor to go up.
