Walleyedmike Posted April 20, 2016 Posted April 20, 2016 I'm sure your wife appreciates having a great guide put her on fish. My wife/main fishing partner usually out fishes me too. Happy wife=happy life! Good job lmt out! WM dan hufferd and blacknoseddace 2
Kramr Posted April 20, 2016 Posted April 20, 2016 That happens a lot to me too. Mostly because I am trying to steer the boat and locate fish. At least that's my story anyway. dan hufferd 1
Smithvillesteve Posted April 20, 2016 Posted April 20, 2016 Great job lmtout!! And really appreciate your input here. I am taking a couple of buddies of mine down there tomorrow afternoon. Will fish friday, sat, and sunday till noon. Would love to put them on some walleyes. You mentioned main lake water temps so i will assume you are fishing the main lake. Are you fishing points? flats? gas motor or trolling motor? I put a spinner on a leader using a swivel and it still gave me big time line twist. Any advice on this? Hope i am not asking too much here and if so i understand. Most walleye guys dont like giving out their info. I, and i am sure others, really appreciate you putting your info out there for us.
lmt out Posted April 20, 2016 Author Posted April 20, 2016 I will say this. We haven't caught a lot yet but had some decent days. We have been focusing on about 18 to 22 ft of water that is next to a ledge or drop off into deeper water. Not really looking at points or flats. Just where I can find the correct depth next to a steep drop. Not saying that is the only place to catch them it's just where we have caught them. Iol. I am bad about if I find some Fish. I stay on them. Not sure about the line twisting situation. We buy pre packages spinners and have not had the line twisting. U might try a smaller swivel. dprice 1
Kramr Posted April 20, 2016 Posted April 20, 2016 This is the only swivel I use for my 3 way rig at T-Turns made by Thundermist lures. I'm sure there are others but I can tell you that this works very well. Maybe a little pricey. http://www.fishusa.com/product/Thundermist-TTurn-3Way-Swivels
