Members Shifty Posted April 21, 2016 Members Posted April 21, 2016 My name is Andrew and I live in Springfield. My in-laws own a lake house near Cape Fair so I spend a lot of time in the James arm of the lake. I recently got in to fishing (about 6-8 months ago). The only experience fishing I had growing up was with my Uncle in Minnesota (when I was just a little guy) as my dad was a not much of an outdoorsman. So I am learning how to fish on my own for the most part. I have spent many many hours on this forum reading the different posts and articles to gain a better understanding of, essentially, how to fish. To say the least, I have learned an absolute ton from all of you and I thank you full heartedly. I had the pleasure of meeting Pepe and his wife yesterday down near Campbell Point. The circumstances were less than ideal (motor troubles) but I must say that they were both stand up members of this community. Pepe gave me a bunch of great pointers on fishing that area of the lake and even gave me and my wife's cousin (who was with me fishing) a bunch of his custom swimbaits and tackle for helping him out. He had asked if I was a member of this group and I told him I had been a sideline viewer for quite a while but after meeting him I know this was a group I wanted to be a part of. So again, thank you all for all of the information and advice you present on these forums. As a TRULY novice fisherman I have learned a ton and continue to do so each day. While I may not have a ton to contribute I look forward to being a part of a great community. -Andrew
